Interior view of a float tractor unit. The cabin was fitted with fan, internal lights, speed and battery charge meters. Steering was lightened by the addition of a small hydraulic ram. All of the tractor units were speed matched to ensure that they could all run at the same speed as they circled the stadium. Battery power was chosen due to the immense torque available at low speeds. Running time when fully loaded was over 8 hours.
